NaamDhara Privacy Policy
Last updated
This privacy policy applies to NaamDhara (package name com.novapexstudio.naamdhara) ("the
App"), published by Novapex Studio ("we", "us"), a digital studio operated by an independent developer based in India. It explains
what information the App handles, how it is used and the choices you have. It takes precedence over our
site-wide Privacy Policy for this App; that policy still applies to this website and to
anything not covered here. By using the App you agree to the practices described below.
Summary
- An account is optional or required for some features. Account data is described below.
- The App collects limited data, listed below, mainly through the third-party services it includes.
- The App shows ads through Google AdMob, which processes device identifiers to serve them.
- In-app purchases are processed by the app store; we never see your payment details.
- We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with anyone other than the services listed below.
1. Data the App collects or shares
The App, or a third-party service inside it, collects or shares the following data. This list matches the Data safety section of the App's store listing.
- Device or other IDs: your advertising ID, used by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads
- Approximate location (derived from your IP address), used by Google AdMob to serve relevant ads
- App activity: in-app interactions and screens viewed, collected by Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used
- App info and performance: crash logs and diagnostics, collected by Firebase Crashlytics to fix problems
- Email address and user ID, only if you choose the optional sign-in (stored by Supabase, our backend provider)
- Practice history (mantra counts, mala progress and goals), only if you sign in and turn on sync, so it can be restored on your other devices
- Purchase history for the ad-free tier, processed by Google Play Billing and RevenueCat to deliver, verify and restore it
Processed on your device only, never collected:
- Your reminders, and your mantra counts, mala progress and goals unless you sign in and turn on sync, stay on your device and are not collected
On your device. Your settings, progress and any content you create are stored locally. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data from your device settings deletes them. Your device's automatic backup (for example Android Backup or iCloud) may include this data according to your own device settings; we do not control those backups.
When you contact us. If you email [email protected] or use the store's support channel, we receive your email address and message and keep them only as long as needed to help you.
2. Accounts
Signing in is optional unless a feature says otherwise. If you sign in, we receive your email address and a user ID (and the basic profile details a sign-in provider such as Google shares, if you use one), stored with our backend provider listed below, together with the data needed to provide account features such as sync of your favourites, purchases and settings. You can delete your account and its data from the App's settings or by emailing us, and we will remove it within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep part of it.
3. Permissions
The App requests only the permissions it needs, and explains why when it asks:
- VIBRATE (haptic feedback on each count)
- INTERNET (ads, optional sign-in and sync, purchases)
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS (optional practice reminders and festival notifications)
You can change permissions at any time in your device settings; some features may stop working if you deny them.
4. Third-party services
The App includes the following third-party services. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob (advertising) · Google (AdMob / Ad Manager) privacy policy
- Firebase Analytics (usage analytics) · Google (Firebase) privacy policy
- Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting) · Google (Firebase) privacy policy
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (reminders and festival notifications) · Google (Firebase) privacy policy
- Firebase Remote Config (feature configuration) · Google (Firebase) privacy policy
- Google Play Billing (ad-free tier purchase) · Google Play services privacy policy
- RevenueCat (purchases and subscriptions) · RevenueCat privacy policy
- Supabase (backend, optional sign-in and sync) · Supabase privacy policy
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a service of Google. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and app information, and your interactions with ads. Depending on your choices, ads may be personalised or non-personalised. Google's use of this information is described in the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Your choices. On Android, reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation under Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads). On iOS, use Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the App asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice from the App's settings.
Analytics and crash reporting
We use aggregated, pseudonymous analytics and crash reports to understand which features are used and to fix problems. These reports contain technical information such as device model, operating system version, App version, the screens and features used and the sequence of events before a crash. They are not used to identify you personally. Where the law requires it, analytics is enabled only with your consent.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the App registers a push token with Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send optional alerts (for example about new collections or festivals). The token identifies the App on your device, not you. You can turn notifications off at any time in the App or in your device settings, which stops them.
Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by the app store (Google Play or the Apple App Store). We receive a purchase token and purchase history, which the App or a purchases service such as RevenueCat uses to unlock, verify and restore what you bought; we never receive your name, card or bank details. See our Purchases & Refunds page.
5. How we use information and legal bases
We use the information above only to provide the App's features, to show and measure ads where the App has them, to process purchases where offered, to fix bugs and to answer your messages. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the performance of our agreement with you (providing the App), our legitimate interests (keeping the App working and secure) and, for personalised advertising in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, your consent. We do not use your data for automated decisions with legal effects.
6. Retention and transfers
Data on your device stays there until you delete it. Account data is kept until you delete your account. Support emails are normally deleted within 24 months. Data processed by the third-party services above is retained according to their policies, and may be processed in India, the United States and other countries under the safeguards described in those policies.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age for consent to data processing in your country, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
8. Security
Because most data stays on your device, its security depends mainly on your device's own protections (screen lock, encryption, account security). We follow platform best practices in the App, use encrypted connections for any network traffic and keep dependencies updated.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a supervisory authority. The site-wide Privacy Policy describes these rights under the GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The simplest way to remove the App's data is to delete its data from your device settings or uninstall it, and to delete your account from the App. For anything else, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Significant changes will be announced in the App or on its store listing before they take effect.
